Marguerite specialises in European Law and Competition Law, in foreign subsidies (EU Foreign subsidies regulation) and more particularly in State aid. In this field, Marguerite assists both public authorities and companies on all aspects of State aid rules.
Her practice includes the legal assessment of the existence of aid and its compatibility, the preparation of notifications of individual aid or aid schemes to the European Commission and the drafting of the legal instruments necessary for their implementation.
She also participates in the representation of public authorities in the context of European Commission investigations on State aid (air transport, SGEI, tax exemption, etc.), drafts complaints and participates in the representation of public authorities or companies in litigation before national and European courts. She provides training in State aid matters.
She has gained experience in the transport sector and related infrastructures (air transport, airports, ports), waste, public investments and public service missions (financing of infrastructures, SGEIs, etc.).
She also assists companies and associations in the context of national grants (grants/recoverable advances granted to carry out research projects) and European grants (in particular in the context of grant agreements and consortium agreements concluded to carry out specific projects directly subsidised by the European Union).
Marguerite joined CMS in December 2015 and was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2019.
