Borislava Piperkova appointed Head of CMS Sofia’s Energy, Projects and Construction team

CMS Sofia is pleased to announce that partner Borislava Piperkova will take over the leadership of CMS Sofia’s Energy, Projects and Construction team from 1 April 2026 from Kostadin Sirleshtov, Office Managing Partner at CMS Sofia and Head of Energy, Projects and Construction in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

During her 17 years with CMS Sofia, Borislava has progressed through the firm ranks making her way from student to partner. Following her appointment to partner in 2025, Borislava will now take on the management role for the Energy, Projects and Construction team in Sofia, which currently comprises 20 lawyers.

Borislava Piperkova commented on the appointment: “During my many years at CMS, I first specialised in Finance and Real Estate before moving to the Energy, Projects and Construction team. My range of experience means that I am excellently placed to manage complicated M&A, regulatory and financing mandates. I’m delighted to be appointed as Head of Energy, Projects and Construction at CMS Sofia and I will work to further strengthen our leading position on the market.”
