Lyuba Bozova-Peshovska is a senior associate in the Energy, Projects, and Construction team at CMS Sofia.

Along with a deep understanding of energy law, she has experience in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. Her work in the renewable energy sector consists of advising major European companies on regulatory issues, acquisitions, as well as developments and disposals of wind, solar and hydro power projects in Bulgaria. She has acted on several renewable energy projects, dealing with regulatory, real estate, construction, and corporate aspects. 

Lyuba has taken an active part in the analysis, evaluation and development of Bulgarian renewable energy legislation, and has prepared legal opinions on various hot topics in the sector. 

Relevant experience

  • Multinational companies and their subsidiaries on the successful acquisition, development and subsequent disposal of photovoltaic plants in Bulgaria.
  • Legal support on a 42 MW wind power project in Bulgaria and advice on the successful disposal of the completed project to a multinational energy company.
  • One of the world’s leading suppliers of food, home care, personal care and refreshment products on the successful expansion of its business and acquisition of local producers.
