CMS advises VVV Next Gen Storage on 40MWh Trastikovo Storage System 1

CMS has advised VVV Next Gen Storage in relation to Trastikovo Storage System 1, a battery energy storage system (BESS) which has now been successfully commissioned and is operational in Bulgaria.

The project has a 10MW power capacity and 40MWh energy storage capacity, providing a four-hour discharge duration, and is connected to the grid at 20kV medium voltage.

Trastikovo Storage System 1 was developed by VVV Next Gen Storage, part of VVV GROUP, and is operated and managed by VVV Quantum Energy.

Together with Trastikovo Storage System 2, the two systems expand VVV’s energy storage footprint at the Trastikovo site and contribute additional flexibility and capacity to the grid.

The successful commissioning of Trastikovo Storage System 1 marks another important milestone in the development of battery energy storage infrastructure in Bulgaria and the continued expansion of VVV’s energy storage portfolio.
