Vaska Solakova is a senior associate in the CMS Sofia Real Estate team and a Bulgarian qualified lawyer with more than five years of litigation experience and more than ten years general out-of-court counselling experience. 

She advises clients on a variety of real estate, construction, urban planning, and property transaction issues, including in due diligence procedures, as well as on the closely related areas of environmental law, energy, cultural heritage preservation, administrative substantive and procedural law.

Relevant experience

  • CTP on the acquisition of land with an aggregate area of 140,000 sq. m. and over ten logistics buildings on it in two locations in Sofia. Both projects are fully leased with more than 55 lease agreements in place. 
  • EKO Bulgaria EAD, part of Hellenic Petroleum Group – the largest industrial and trade corporation in Greece, on the sale of EKO Bulgaria’s idle real estate assets in Sofia and Varna, Bulgaria, and with the expansion of EKO’s gas station network.
  • Cordeel Bulgaria on reviewing and assisting with negotiating multimillion construction agreements; as well as regulatory advice related to an energy efficiency project to be implemented by the client in one of the largest office developments in Sofia.  
  • Alpha Bank on the sale of its portfolio of assets in Bulgaria to an international investment fund. Work included performing seller’s due diligence on the assets, resolving complex historic title and zoning issues (including litigation), and drafting and negotiating the transaction documents.
  • Reserve Invest Holding (Cyprus) Limited on the acquisition of a large area of agricultural land partially operated as fisheries.
  • ENKA İnşaat ve Sanayi A.Ş., a Turkish engineering and construction firm, on its EUR 8.4m acquisition of a 40-megawatt photovoltaic project.
