Our career model for commercial lawyers is aimed at qualified newcomers who have completed a law degree with a diploma, bachelor's or master's degree.
You will join us as a legal specialist and quickly gain an in-depth insight into our law firm. You will be closely involved in client work right from the start and will be supported by your mentor along the way. Within your first three months, we will invite you to our welcome events. There you will get to know all new legal employees and can network across offices and practice areas.
As a Senior Legal Specialist, your primarily role will be to build up specialist knowledge and contribute this to client work.
From the Legal Coordinator level onwards, you will provide your colleagues with professional guidance.
From the (Senior) Legal Manager level onwards, you will additionally take responsibility for project sub-areas and your own projects.
Smart Operations
In 2018, CMS set up a new unit called Smart Operations (SMOP for short), which is made up of outstanding commercial lawyers.
The SMOP team is an important part of our success. It supports us throughout Germany in due diligence proceedings and similar auditing and valuation activities.
Legal Tech
The legal world is undergoing significant change. Artificial intelligence is making our work much easier in many areas and harbours enormous potential for further change.
CMS is a pioneer in the application and development of legal tech solutions. Our commercial lawyers are already closely involved in this process.
