Purpose of data processing, legal bases, recipients or categories of recipients
Your personal data, such as your name, contact details and application documents which you send us in an online application, an application by email or post, or which we collect ourselves from public sources, will initially be entered unchanged in our internal job application portal. Unauthorised parties cannot access your data when it is being transferred. Only recruitment staff at CMS Hasche Sigle have access to your data and can compare your details with current job vacancies. The email inbox for online applications and the applicant management system where your data are stored are protected against unauthorised access. All of our employees are required to observe confidentiality.
If you do not wish to send your application directly using our career page, please send your complete application documents by email to karriere@cms-hs.com or by post to CMS Hasche Sigle, HR Coordinator, Lennéstraße 7, 10785 Berlin. Even in this case, however, your data will be entered into our internal job application portal by our employees to ensure compliance with all data protection requirements. You will not suffer any disadvantages in the application process as a result.
The data collected is processed for the purpose of establishing an employment relationship (carrying out the application process, verifying your details, initiating an employment relationship). The legal basis for this data processing is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
If you have given us your consent to process your data a further legal basis for processing is Article 88 (1) GDPR in conjunction with section 26 (2), (8) sentence 2 German Data Protection Act (BDSG).
We can assure you that your data will be collected, processed and used solely for the purpose of your application to CMS Hasche Sigle.
We use an external service provider to maintain our internal job application portal. We have selected and instructed our service provider carefully; they are bound to follow our instructions and are monitored on a regular basis. We do not pass on your data to recipients based outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Your rights
You have the following rights with regard to your personal data: a right to information under Article 15 GDPR, a right to rectification under Article 16 GDPR, the right to erasure under Article 17 GDPR, a right to restriction of processing under Article 18 GDPR, a right to object under Article 21 GDPR and a right to data portability under Article 20 GDPR. The restrictions under sections 34 and 35 German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) apply to the right to information and the right to erasure.
You also have a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR in conjunction with section 19 German Federal Data Protection Act) (BDSG), in this case the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
Duration of the storage of your data
We will store your data for as long as you are actively seeking a position at CMS Hasche Sigle, but no longer than six months after the application process has been completed. Then we will delete your data unless you have given us your consent to continue storing your data.
Consent to continue storing your data
If your application could be considered for a position at CMS at a later date, we will send you an email and ask you to give us your consent to store your application data for a further twelve months. The data will then be stored, processed and used for the purpose of contacting you if a position becomes available which might be suitable for you. If there is still reason to store your data after the extended period to which you consented has ended, we will ask you to consent to an extension again. Your data will be deleted after the storage period covered by your consent has expired.
Revocation of consent granted by you
You may revoke your consent to the processing of personal data at any time. This also applies to consent which was granted to us prior to 25 May 2018 when the EU General Data Protection Regulation took effect. Please note that revocation only applies to the future. Data which was processed prior to revocation is therefore not affected by revocation.
