CMS advises Mutares on acquisition of Hamberger Industriewerke’s flooring business
Munich – A wholly-owned portfolio company of Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has acquired the flooring business of Hamberger Industriewerke GmbH. The company is a leading manufacturer of parquet and other hardwood flooring, known under the brand HARO. It has locations in Germany and Bulgaria, with two highly automated production facilities, as well as a global distribution network spanning more than 70 countries. With this new investment in the platform, Mutares is strengthening its goods and services segment.
A CMS team led by Dr Michael Wangemann advised Mutares on all legal aspects of this transaction. Mutares regularly relies on the expertise of CMS.
Mutares focuses on the acquisition of parts of large corporations and medium-sized companies in transitional situations. The aim is to leverage the development potential of the usually low-earning target companies within the framework of an active turnaround process and to lead them onto a stable and profitable growth path.
