Munich – TV producers Rola Bauer and Tim Halkin have sold their shares in STUDIOCANAL TV/TANDEM PRODUCTIONS to European group STUDIOCANAL. The international company thus now holds 100% of the Munich-based film production company. It plans to use the acquisition to drive expansion of its global TV production and distribution business. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
A CMS team led by Anna-Lena Lill, Dr Eckhard Schmid and Dr Oliver Thurn advised TV producers Rola Bauer and Tim Halkin, who are the founders of STUDIOCANAL TV/TANDEM PRODUCTIONS, on all legal aspects of selling the shares.
STUDIOCANAL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the CANAL+ group, which is owned by Vivendi. It is a leading European player in the production and distribution of feature films and TV series. The company operates in all three major European markets (France, the UK and Germany) as well as in Australia and New Zealand.
Munich-based TANDEM Productions was established by CEO Rola Bauer and managing director Tim Halkin. The company specialises in the production of TV drama series.
