CMS expands insolvency administration practice in Berlin
Berlin – Fabian von Ritter joins CMS in Berlin as Counsel on 1 September 2026. The lawyer and business economist was previously with the national restructuring law firm Reimer Rechtsanwälte in Frankfurt am Main. Prior to that, he spent five years handling insolvency and self-administration proceedings for the law firm BBL Brockdorff in Berlin and the surrounding area; BBL Brockdorff also specialises in restructuring and reorganisation law.
Fabian von Ritter joins the insolvency and restructuring team led by partner Niklas Lütcke at CMS's Berlin office. He will continue to expand the insolvency administration practice at Charlottenburg Insolvency Court and the insolvency courts in the wider Berlin area. "With Fabian von Ritter, we are continuing our steady growth in insolvency administration and restructuring and gradually building up the next generation of insolvency administrators at CMS," said Prof. Dr Alexandra Schluck-Amend, CMS Partner and Head of the Insolvency Practice Group.
With this addition, yet another expert in the field of insolvency administration and insolvency law is joining CMS within just a few months: On 1 January 2026, Vanja Alexander Kovacev, lawyer and insolvency administrator, joined CMS Hamburg as a partner, bringing with him a team of six.
