CMS Hasche Sigle advises Punch International NV on acquisition of wheel manufacturer BBS

23/08/2007

Punch International NV, registered in Sint Martens Latern (Belgium), is to take over wheel manufacturer BBS. The insolvent wheel manufacturer BBS was acquired by way of an asset deal involving the assets of BBS Kraftfahrzeugtechnik AG and BBS Motorsport- und Engineering GmbH and the shares in US subsidiary BBS of America, Inc. Business will continue under the name of BBS International GmbH.

BBS is one of the world's leading manufacturers of light alloy wheels for sports cars and passenger vehicles. For many years almost all well-known vehicle brands have been among BBS's customers. Last year BBS had a turnover of around EUR 163 million and to date employed around 830 people at its principal locations in Herbolzheim and Schiltach.

Punch International NV operates primarily in the field of metalworking and automotive supplies. Its annual turnover is around EUR 500 million.
