The listed Wiener Investmentgesellschaft Sparkassen Immobilien AG has acquired CITEC Immobilien in Deutschland AG and CITEC Realitäten GmbH for a purchase price of EUR 185m. The CITEC companies are owners of a portfolio consisting of 88 residential properties with approx. 2200 apartments in very good locations in Berlin and Leipzig. This has increased the size of the German portfolio of Sparkassen Immobilien AG, which belongs to the Austrian Erste Bank group, to real estate with a total area of approx. 400,000 m².
CMS Hasche Sigle also advised Sparkassen Immobilien AG at the beginning of this year on the acquisition of 52 residential properties in Berlin and the Finance Department building in Berlin-Mitte for a total of EUR 123m, the acquisition of the Kellnerblock in Halle and the CICON residential portfolio in Berlin.
Sparkassen Immobilien AG intends to further expand in Germany.
