Press contacts
Techem AG and Aareon Deutschland GmbH, a direct subsidiary of Aareal Bank AG, have agreed to enter
into a strategic partnership for joint invoicing and integrated product development and marketing.
As part of the agreement Techem will assume the energy management business division of Aareon
and conversely the IT service provider Aareon will assume the IT services division Techem IT
Services GmbH from Techem plus a cash settlement of EUR 6.5 million. By undertaking this swap each
company reinforces its core competences as they are acquiring business divisions which complement
its core business. Techem is taking over 850,000 residential units from Aareon, while Aaeron, by
acquiring Techem IT Services GmbH, is gaining just over 850,000 housing companies and associations.
The two companies are also planning to jointly develop and market new products and services
which will lead to a streamlining of the operating processes on the housing companies.
Advisers to Techem
