Hamburg, 07.10.2024 – The Restructuring and Insolvency practice at commercial law firm CMS is being strengthened by the addition of Dr Susann Brackmann, who has joined the CMS team with effect from 1 October 2024 as a partner at the Hamburg office.
Previously with Hogan Lovells, Dr Susann Brackmann will advise national and international clients on restructuring and insolvency law and at the intersection with corporate and financing law. She has extensive experience of dealing with complex (financial) restructurings and reorganisations, distressed M&A and NPL transactions, refinancing and advising in situations where insolvency is imminent. This brings the total number of partners in the Restructuring and Insolvency practice to ten, including three female partners.

CMS has already responded to the growing need for advice on restructuring and insolvency by establishing CMS Advisory GmbH, which aims to provide clients not only with legal advice, but also with comprehensive support that includes specific relevant business aspects. The rising complexity of restructuring projects means there is a heightened need for extensive input from both disciplines.
