Successful insolvency administration: CMS facilitates sale of firma.de

25 Jun 2026 Germany 2 min read

Frankfurt am Main – Munich-based legal tech company beglaubigt.de has acquired the insolvent platform for founders firma.de through a sale.

Since it was founded in 2012, firma.de has been one of the pioneers in founding companies in Germany digitally. Having been acquired by the legal tech firm beglaubigt.de founded in 2024, the company's operations will be continued and integrated into the existing platform. According to statements from the buyer, this will establish the market leader for founding companies in Germany entirely digitally with more than 30,000 customers and over 1,000 associated notaries in the future.

firma.de's business operations continued without limitation during the preliminary insolvency proceedings. beglaubigt.de won out as the buyer in a structured sale process with multiple prospective buyers. The success of the bid came down in particular to its quick implementation and the strong prospects of continuing operations for the company, its customers and a majority of the employees.

A CMS team led by insolvency administrator Joachim Kühne succeeded in transferring the company to the buyer beglaubigt.de after its continuation as a going concern was successfully established and the competitive investor process was completed.

beglaubigt.de is pursuing the goal of fully digitising the process of founding a company in Germany and eliminating bureaucratic hurdles. In addition to gaining an established customer base for the company, the takeover also grants it access to a network of notaries built up over years, therefore accelerating the expansion of its market position.
