Carsten Domke advises German and multinational companies on restructuring and outsourcing projects and negotiates collective bargaining agreements, reconciliations of interests and redundancy programmes. He is experienced in shaping – and cancelling – manager service agreements and he has special expertise in all matters related to the protection of employee’s personal data in groups including the international aspects involved, in particular in the context of transferring data to India and the USA. Carsten Domke is specialised in setting up international compliance programmes, implementing whistleblower systems and integrated production systems as well as stock option plans.

Carsten joined CMS in 2005. Prior to that, he worked with two business law firms (in Paris and Cologne) as well as with the Federal Law Society and the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the European Union, both based in Brussels.

28 Oc­to­ber 2022 The EU Dir­ect­ive 2019/1152 on trans­par­ent and pre­dict­able work­ing con­di­tions in the European Uni­on sub­stan­tially ex­tends the ob­lig­a­tions of em­ploy­ers to provide in­form­a­tion on the es­sen­tial as­pects of their re­la­tion­ship with em­ploy­ees. Im­ple­ment­a­tion of the rel­ev­ant re­quire­ments in­to na­tion­al law was due by 31 Ju­ly 2022. As a res­ult, changes in em­ploy­ment law prac­tices are ex­pec­ted in the near fu­ture.
