Christina Kappes specialises in advising German and international companies in various industry sectors on individual and collective employment law, including litigation before the relevant courts. She advises and represents clients on all types of changes in operation and on the introduction of new forms of working and remuneration models. Christina also assists her clients in works council and trade union negotiations. She has special expertise in collective bargaining law and co-determination matters in companies and often advises public sector employers.

CMS advises founders of Thinkport on investment by Venitus Group
Leipzig – The Munich-based Venitus Group has acquired a stake in Thinkport, a pioneer in the development of innovative cloud technologies. The founders Dominik Fries and Tobias Drechsel will retain a significant stake in the company and keep their positions unchanged. The partnership with Venitus marks a significant milestone in the development of the cloud consulting company. It will help to further consolidate Thinkport's position as an innovation leader, accelerate growth and lay the foundations for the next phase of development. The parties involved have agreed not to disclose further details of the transaction.A CMS team led by Dr. Kevin Schmidt provided comprehensive legal advice to the Thinkport founders on the transaction. Thinkport, headquartered in Frankfurt/Main with offices in Leipzig, Hamburg and Berlin, has made an impressive journey from a start-up to an established and award-winning player in the cloud technology industry over the past five years. Founded in 2018 and employing around 80 people, the company supports large German-speaking companies and DAX-listed corporations with projects in the areas of cloud migration, development and training.
