Experienced litigator Karsten Sturm focuses on defending his clients in state courts against claims brought forward against them as well as providing efficient services enforcing their own claims. He represents companies in complex and comprehensive lawsuits that require strategic foresight and stamina. His work mainly revolves around disputes resulting from commercial contracts and offences as well as insolvency disputes (avoidance claims). Karsten’s clients mainly include manufacturers, tech companies as well as network operators and vertically integrated utilities.

Karsten joined CMS in Leipzig in 2006 and has been a counsel since 2012. In 2015, he joined the firm’s Düsseldorf office. In 2004, he worked for a World Bank Group spin-off in Washington. Since 2000 he has been a co-organiser of the "Leipziger Insolvenzrechtstag" (annual insolvency law conference in Leipzig).
