Moritz Thate advises on compliance with a focus on white-collar crime, corporate law and tort/liability law. He often handles matters at the intersection of civil and criminal law, e.g., in D&O liability or damages proceedings. His practice focuses on the recovery of assets for his clients after criminal offences, drawing on his long-standing and comprehensive litigation experience. He has litigated in many high-value and legally complex first and second instance court cases.

In addition, Moritz advises on white-collar crime issues and proceedings, acting both as a representative of injured parties and as a defence lawyer for companies and private individuals. He also supports his clients with the internal investigation and clarification of criminal allegations, the preparation of criminal charges as well as with searches and criminal compliance issues.
