Saskia Steinicke advises national and international companies and creditors, in particular financial institutions and investors, on German and cross-border insolvency and restructuring law, including StaRUG proceedings. A particular focus of her practice is the legal support of banks and other financial creditors in complex financial restructurings and workouts, including the structuring and negotiation of multi-creditor arrangements and the conduct and coordination of complex risk analyses.
Her practice includes the defence and enforcement of insolvency-related claims. She also advises companies, board members and financial institutions on crisis governance, risk mitigation and liability management.
Prior to joining CMS in January 2025, Saskia Steinicke worked for several leading international law firms, focusing on restructuring and insolvency law.
