Warning: fraudulent emails sent in the name of CMS!
Warning! We are currently receiving an increasing number of reports of fraudulent emails advertising, under the name CMS, alleged opportunities to buy suspiciously cheap items of value from insolvency estates.
The unknown perpetrators use domains that sound similar but do not belong to CMS, such as ‘cms-anwaelte.de’, ‘cms-deutschland.de’, ‘cms-hasche-sigle.de’, and ‘cmslaw.de’ as well as Munich and Berlin telephone numbers that also do not belong to CMS. Among other things, the perpetrators identify themselves as lawyers Philipp Schneider or Manuel Nann, who do work for CMS but of course have nothing to do with these messages. In some cases, the perpetrators have tried to exert pressure by making telephone calls in different names and sending out draft contracts.

Please do NOT engage with such offers and do not transfer any money. We strongly recommend that you report the offence to your nearest police station.
CMS itself has already filed a criminal complaint against the unknown perpetrators and is taking all possible criminal and civil action against them.
