International data flows after Schrems II: challenges and solutions

CMS Webinar

Event details

Programme

23 Sep 2020 Past event

18:00 - 20:00 UTC
CMS Spain invites you to join a webinar in English and Spanish, which will analyse the latest developments in international data transfers in the EU, including the Schrems II case and Brexit.
The Schrems II judgment handed down by the Court of Justice of the European Union on 16 July this year represents a radical shift in the way personal data is transferred internationally. The data protection authorities, as well as data processors and controllers, must now adapt to the new landscape and find new solutions to avoid a breakdown in the constant cross-border flow of personal data – a key pillar of the current economic model – while continuing to uphold the right to data protection.
