Data Protection Regulation applicable to law firms
Law firms are concerned by the compliance with the new RGPD regulations, in that they are required to implement a large number of treatments that may be particularly. Article 37 of the GDPR mandates the appointment of a Data Protection Officer in certain cases. Thus, depending on the nature, scope, purpose and quantity of the processing they implement, lawyers will likely appoint a DPO. In any case, such a designation, in that it contributes to the good governance of the data, is strongly recommended. For more information, click here.
In order to help the lawyers concerned by this obligation, the CNB has decided to recommend us as Data Protection Officers following a tender launched in 2017, taking into account our experience in this area.
