CMS Francis Lefebvre announces the arrival of Bertrand Sénéchal as a partner to strengthen its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) practice.
Bertrand Sénéchal provides his recognized expertise in equity capital markets (IPOs, rights issues, other types of capital increases, block trades, equity-linked securities, etc.) and in financial communication and governance, to issuers and banks.
He was involved in the successful IPOs of Aerospatiale (Airbus), Air France, EDF, eureKING, Euronext, Orange (France Telecom), Natixis, SMCP, SNECMA (Safran), and in the recapitalization of major French groups such as Air Liquide, Danone, Eurotunnel, France Télécom, Natixis, Pages Jaunes, Pernod Ricard, Saint Gobain, Société Générale, Rhodia, Vallourec, in equity financings in the energy transition sector (EDF Energies Nouvelles, Lhyfe, Neoen, NHOA) and in the biotech sector, as well as on France/US dual-listings for Danone, Erytech, France Telecom, Genfit, Innate Pharma and Lafarge.
Bertrand joins our partners Rosetta Ferrère and Marc-Etienne Sébire, who are already working on transactions involving equity securities as well as debt securities and derivatives, alongside our partner Virginie Corbet-Picard and the Corporate/M&A team, who work on a daily basis for numerous listed companies. Bertrand will also rely on the expertise of the CMS lawyers in over 45 countries.
Bertrand Sénéchal, 55, began his career in 1994 in New York with the American law firm Shearman & Sterling LLP, where he was promoted to partner in 2005, in the Paris office. In 2013, he joined UK law firm Linklaters LLP as a partner in Paris. Bertrand Sénéchal is a graduate from Sciences Po Paris and holds a master's degree in business law from Université Paris II-Panthéon-Assas and an LL.M. (Master of Laws) in business law from New York University. He is a member of the Paris and New York bars. He also completed the “board member” certificate of the IFA (Institut Français des Administrateurs).
