The firm CMS Francis Lefebvre Lyon Avocats, represented by Xavier Vahramian, has advised three transportation companies from the Rhône-Alpes region – Cars Faure, Cars Berthelet and Réunir Dauphiné – in a litigation procedure for unfair competition against Carpostal as a result of its practices in France.

Since Carpostal appealed the judgement handed down by the commercial court of Lyon in 2016, the parties had to argue their cases before the Paris Appeal Court on 27 June 2018.

The Swiss coach company and the three French transporters recently settled the dispute for €6.2 million, an amount made public by La Poste Suisse, Carpostal’s parent company in France. The settlement ends the dispute, which had been going on between the parties for five years.
