CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre advises AXA in completing the transfer of its activities in Romania to Vienna Insurance Group

CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre advised AXA in connection with the completion of the transfer of its life insurance, savings and pension activities in Romania to Vienna Insurance Group. The subsidiaries of Vienna Insurance Group, BCR Life and Omniasig, acquired 100% of AXA Life Insurance SA (the life insurance, savings and pensions division operating in Romania). AXA is thus leaving the Romanian market.

For this transaction, AXA was advised by CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre, specifically by Jean-Robert Bousquet (Partner), Alexandre Morel (counsel) and Célia Mayran on corporate matters, Edouard Milhac (Partner) on tax matters, in collaboration with CMS Cameron McKenna LLP in Romania with Horea Popescu (Partner), Claudia Popescu, Raluca Ionescu and Cristina Reichmann on corporate and regulatory aspects of Romanian law.
