On 15 September 2016, the Paris Regional Court rejected the emergency application brought by associations defending open-source software, asking for suspension of the partnership agreement entered into at the end of November 2015 between the French Education Ministry and Microsoft in relation to the digital programme for schools.

The French Education Ministry was defended by CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre, represented by François Tenailleau, partner, and Inès Tantardini (public law), Anne-Laure-Villedieu, partner, and Sabine Rigaud (intellectual property).

Microsoft was advised by AdDen (Nicolas Nahmias and Laurent Givord).
