CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre advises the Caisse Régionale de Crédit Agricole de la Touraine et du Poitou in acquiring an equity stake in sorégies
CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre advised the Caisse Régionale de Crédit Agricole de la Touraine et du Poitou during an operational and shareholder reorganisation of the Energies Vienne group, which resulted in the energy supplier Sorégies becoming the parent company of the group, also made up of the electricity distribution network manager SRD and the renewable energy producer Sergies.
As part of this reorganisation, Crédit Agricole de la Touraine et du Poitou, a longstanding partner of the Energies Vienne group, acquired a 6.9% stake in the capital of Sorégies. The Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and three local energy distribution companies have also become shareholders in Sorégies, which remains majority-owned by the Energies Vienne Syndicate.
The Energies Vienne group, placed under the control of 260 local authorities, is one of the largest regional energy groups in France, recording a consolidated annual turnover of close to 300 million Euros at the end of 2016. Through its acquisition of an equity stake in Sorégies, Crédit Agricole de la Touraine et du Poitou and the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations have helped to strengthenthe group's equity and finance its growth strategy.
