CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre appoints a new supervsory board

On 23 June 2016 the CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre AGM appointed three new members to its Supervisory Board:
Anne-Laure Villedieu, Jean-Philippe Bidegainberry and Stéphane Gelin, all of whom are partners in the firm.

Their appointments run from 23 June 2016 for three years.

They will take their places beside Jean Guilmoto (Chairman of the Supervisory Board), Nicolas de Sevin (Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board), Christophe Lefaillet and Jean-Luc Tixier, whose appointments expire in 2018.

Anne-Laure Villedieu (44) joined CMS in 1998 and became a partner in 2012. She now heads Intellectual Property Rights and New Technologies. She holds post-graduate qualifications (DEAs) in business law and economics (Paris I, 1996) and communication techniques law (Paris II, 1995) and is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the International Technology Law Association and the AFCDP (the French Association of Data Protection Correspondents).

Jean-Philippe Bidegainberry (44) joined the CMS tax department in 1997 and became a partner in 2008. He holds a post-graduate vocational qualification in economic activities and a Masters (DESS) in business law and tax from the University of Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne. A former part-time lecturer at ESSEC and Sciences-Po in Paris, he currently lectures at the University of Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense. He is a former conference secretary and member of the Hauts-de-Seine Bar Committee and also a member of the Regional Disciplinary Committee.

Stéphane Gelin (54) joined the international tax department at CMS as partner in June 2003 and now heads the tax practice for the CMS network. A tax law and international tax specialist, he graduated from the Paris Institut d'Etudes Politiques in 1986 and obtained a DESS in applied tax from the University of Paris V in 1985. He is a member of IACF, IFA and IBA and is a board member of the European branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He teaches transfer pricing at the University of Bourgogne.

The four partners currently on the Supervisory Board and in post until 2018 are:

Jean Guilmoto (64) joined CMS in 1978 and became a partner in 1987. He was on the Supervisory Board from 1996 to 2000 before becoming Managing Director between 2000 and2004. He was Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board from 2012 to 2015 and has been Chairman since 2015. A tax specialist, he holds a Master I in Accounting and Financial Science and Techniques from the University of Grenoble (1977). He is a knight of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques and taught tax at HEC from 1985 to 2011.

Nicolas de Sevin (58) joined CMS in 1983 and became a partner in 1989. He was on the Supervisory Board from 2003 to 2004 before becoming a director for the period 2004-2005. He rejoined the Supervisory Board (2012-2015) and has been its Deputy Chairman since 2015. A social law specialist, he graduated from the Paris Institut d'Etudes Politiques in 1981 and holds a post-graduate qualification in social law from the University of Paris II (1983). He has been chairman of AvoSial since 1 April 2015.

Christophe Lefaillet (51) joined CMS in 1989 and became a partner in 2005. He was on the Supervisory Board from 2010 to 2013 and was reappointed in 2015. A specialist in company and stock market law, he holds DESS in business law (Montpellier DJCE, 1987) and post-graduate qualifications in company and tax law.

Jean-Luc Tixier (58) joined CMS in 1984 and became a partner in 1994. He has been on the Supervisory Board since 2015. A property and public-law specialist, he holds a PhD in law (1994), a notarial qualification (Paris I, 1986) and a DESS in property law (1982).

CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre has almost 600 staff including 380 associates, of whom 104 are partners.
