CMS FRANCIS LEFEBVRE AVOCATS PURSUES ITS EXPANSION IN FUTURES CONTRACTS

The CMS Francis Lefebvre Avocats Capital Markets team is pursuing its expansion in the field of futures contracts (derivatives) with the arrival of Pauline Larroque.

The addition of Pauline Larroque expands the firm’s range of services to clients and responds to a growing demand for derivatives and market contracts, particularly since the publication by the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) in July 2018 of the new ISDA master agreement under French law. This reinforcement is part of the constant development of the team, which is already recognised in this highly specialised field by professional guides (Legal 500, etc.) and, more generally, of CMS, which now has more than 40 lawyers in the derivatives field throughout the various CMS offices worldwide.

Prior to joining CMS Francis Lefebvre Avocats, Pauline Larroque acquired more than 15 years’ experience in derivatives, repurchase agreements, securities lending/borrowing and the range of master agreements documenting these transactions (ISDA, FBF , GMRA, GMSLA, etc.), as well as collateral issues (CSAs) and related regulatory aspects (particularly EMIR), in the trading room and then within firms, notably at Lehman Brothers, Nomura, Amundi, Linklaters and Hogan Lovells.

The CMS Francis Lefebvre Avocats Capital Markets team, comprising eight specialist associates and led by Marc-Etienne Sébire and Rosetta Ferrère, assists its clients in relation to equity security issues (IPOs, capital increases, convertible and/or exchangeable bonds, preferred shares, certificates, warrants), debt security issues (plain vanilla and structured bond issues, Euro Medium Term Note programmes, Euro PPs, Schuldschein, hybrid securities, covered bonds, high yield, negotiable debt securities, restructuring of debt securities and liability management operations) and derivatives.
