Médipôle Retakes Ownership of the Le Floride Clinic: CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre Advises Générale de Santé

CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre advised Générale de Santé regarding the sale by its Dynamis subsidiary of its majority stake in the Le Floride clinic to the Médipôle Group. The clinic is located in Le Barcarès and provides services of follow-up care and rehabilitation (SSR).

Created in 2006, the Médipôle Group, in which the investment fund Bridgepoint has shareholdings, performs medical-surgery-obstetrics (MCO), home hospitalisation (HAD) and follow-up care and rehabilitation (SSR) services in the south of France.

With a turnover of nearly two billion euros, Générale de Santé, whose shares are listed on the NYSE Euronext Paris exchange, is the leading private hospital group in France. It owns 104 private hospitals and clinics serving approximately 1.3 million patients per year (400,000 in emergency services).

For this operation, Générale de Santé was advised on legal and tax issues by CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre, with Arnaud Hugot and Laure Varachas overseeing the corporate aspects and Jean-Charles Benois the tax aspects.

Adeline Mouldy-Namand, attorney and notary in Paris, intervened on behalf of Générale de Santé concerning real estate issues.

The Médipôle Group was advised by the SJ Berwin firm, with Christophe Digoy and Pierre-Louis Sevegrand overseeing the corporate aspects and Vincent Lassalle the real estate aspects.

Laurant Hosana, attorney and notary in Paris, intervened on behalf of the Médipôle Group concerning real estate aspects.
