For its 2024 edition, Paris Games Week is breaking new ground in its mission to create an event that brings together the entire French and European videogame ecosystem, with B2B activities on an unprecedented scale and in partnership with CMS.

 “Future of Gaming by CMS”: wide-ranging debates with the best of the sector

In partnership with the law firm CMS Francis Lefebvre, a member of the CMS network, and with the support of the French video game industry association (Syndicat national du jeu video), this year PGW will offer an unprecedented stage of conferences on the challenges facing the video game industry.

 “Future of Gaming” is both a stage and a space for business meetings, bringing together the industry's leading experts and professionals: game creators, publishers, investors, lawyers, associations, politicians and public authorities.

During five days of round tables, interviews and keynote speeches, covering tech, legal, tax, societal and business issues, an exceptional panel of experts will lead the major debates in the sector, while mapping out the future of video games.

Each day will be devoted to one of the crucial issues shaping the gaming industry:

  • « Current challenges » ;
  •  « Investing in video games » ;
  •  « Video games and pop culture » ;
  •  « The esport Boom » ;
  •  « Talent, training and careers ».

The full programme of ‘Future Of Gaming’, as well as the list of speakers, will be revealed in the coming weeks.

A new ‘VIP Business’ area to bring together video game professionals, investors and major brand partners

Adjacent to the stage, the brand new ‘Business VIP’ area has been designed for networking and will encourage discussions between studios, publishers, institutions, investors and PGW's major brand partners, including CMS lawyers, based in France and abroad.

“Invest in France”: a day to accelerate investment in French video games - 24 October

 In partnership with the Syndicat national du jeu vidéo, a major ‘Invest in France’ day will be held on stage and in the “Business VIP” area, with a view to opening up private investment in the French video game industry. To this end, the event will bring together the best companies present in France, as well as French and international investors (VCs, generalist funds, banks).

‘Paris Game Biz": a B2B event outside of the PGW - 23 October

Organised by Capital Games, ‘Paris Game Biz’ is a unique meeting place for premium meetings and business workshops for industry professionals. 60 studios and 30 French and international publishers and backers will be discussing ideas throughout the day.

Held outside of the PGW but in parallel with the fair, this first edition will encourage synergies and the generation of projects between creators and financing bodies of the video game ecosystem.

With the support of the CNC, the Direction Générale des Entreprises, Business France and CMS, Paris Games Week is set to become, with renewed ambition, the must-attend business event for the video game industry in France and Europe.
