CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre advises Cegedim in connection with the carving out.
Cegedim has received a firm purchase offer for said division from IMS Health Inc. for an amount in cash of €385 million.
This offer includes the transfer of all business activities of theexcept from departments that provide sales data in the EU, such as GERS France and Pharmastock.
Said transaction, if it is accepted, will enable Cegedim to refocus on software and data bases for health professionals and health insurance companies, as well as on its multi-industrial strong group activities, such as e-business, e-collaboration and outsourcing of pay and of human resources.
If accepted and following examination by the regulatory authorities, it should be finalized at the beginning of 2015.

The company has 8,000 employees in 80 countries and made sales of €902 million in 2013. Cegedim proposes services, IT tools, specialized software, flow management and data base services. Its offers are geared, in particular, to health industries, pharmaceutical laboratories, health professionals and insurance companies.
