Karim joined CMS Francis Lefebvre in September 2021, after more than three years of experience in a firm specialized in trade and customs law. He is mainly involved in customs law, in particular on international trade issues (origin, customs value, tariff classification, marking, special regimes, trade policy measures, anti-dumping duties, prohibitions on circulation, licences, dual-use items, etc.). Karim also advises on issues related to indirect taxation (excise duty on alcohol and tobacco, octroi de mer) as well as energy and environmental taxation (excise duty on energy formerly known as TICFE, TICGN, TICC and TICPE). Karim advises numerous companies in these various fields and assists them in litigation before French and European courts. |
