9 October 2023 - CMS advised Ryder Cup Europe LLP on all legal aspects related to the 2023 edition of the “Ryder Cup” - the most prestigious golf competition in the world and the third most important and most watched international sporting event after the Olympics and the Football World Cup. In order to organise the event, several agreements concerning various aspects of civil and commercial law related issues were entered into with the Italian Golf Federation (“FIG”), the institutional body that was awarded the right to host the event in 2015, and Marco Simone S.p.A., the owner of the competition venue.
