As an international organisation with clients and employees all around the world, we believe that diversity is of fundamental importance to CMS. In order to advise our clients as optimally as possible, we strive for a diverse composition of teams with different visions, ideas, and experiences. We continually work on promoting inclusion in areas such as collaboration, corporate culture, leadership, recruitment & selection, and communication.
CMS has signed the international D&I Charter. This charter serves as a framework to integrate our beliefs into our corporate culture and promote an inclusive workplace for everyone at CMS. Our commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion is vast and includes the following:
- developing and supporting a diverse workplace in which all are welcome regardless of gender, age, disability, race and ethnicity, religion or belief, and sexual orientation;
- stimulating an environment that promotes new ways of thinking and working, and values the contributions and perspectives of all;
- supporting all colleagues with a broad range of policies which give everyone equal opportunities to use their talents and fulfil their potential;
- providing a workplace free from discrimination, harassment and bullying, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
CMS in the Netherlands has signed the Charter Talent naar de Top (Talent to the Top), a public commitment that contains clear agreements for achieving diversity at the (sub)top.
CMS in the Netherlands has also signed the EQUAL in LEGAL statement. This initiative by General Counsel Netherlands promotes diversity and inclusion in the corporate legal sector. Furthermore, CMS is a member of various diversity-promoting networks, such as Emma at Work, Bridges Network, and Lequal.
