In two interactive panel sessions, we will discuss the impact of developing technologies in international arbitration, from two different perspectives.

On our first panel we will consider the types of disputes that new technologies will give rise to and how arbitration will contribute to the resolution of those disputes, including disputes arising out of the use of artificial intelligence, smart contracts, crypto currencies and digital assets.  The second panel will consider the role that technology will play in the conduct of arbitrations. We will discuss technologies which enable parties to improve presentation of evidence and argument and we will consider the circumstances in which disputes can be resolved quickly and efficiently by deploying technology to perform the role of judge or tribunal.

The panels will be followed by a moderated question and answer session in which panellists will explore the overlaps between two apparently different topics.
