Jeroen Boelens is partner of the Intellectual Property practice area group of our firm in Amsterdam.
He is specialised in all aspects of intellectual property law, with particular expertise in patent law, trademark law, trade name law, unfair competition (including misleading advertising), and licensing. Jeroen advises and litigates in complex, often cross-border disputes and assists clients with strategic advice and transactions, including license and R&D agreements. His client base ranges from international blue-chip companies to innovative scale-ups and spin-offs, active in sectors such as life sciences, technology, consumer goods, financial services, and the pharmaceutical industry.
In addition to his practice, Jeroen is a frequent author and speaker in the field of intellectual property. He is a member of several leading (inter)national professional associations, including AIPPI, EPLAW, INTA, and LES. He also serves on the editorial board of the journal European Patent Litigation in Practice and is co-author of the treatise ‘Kort Begrip van het Intellectuele Eigendomsrecht’.
Jeroen has been with CMS since 2025. Prior to that, he was a partner at NautaDutilh in New York and Amsterdam, where he headed the Dutch IP practice.
