José Burgos has more than 45 years of experience acting as a lawyer and since 1978 is part of CMS Grau´s Employment & Pensions Area. He directs and participates in the design of strategies for the prevention of potential labor disputes. José also provides integral and specialized assistance to his clients, exercising their defense against workers claims, both in administrative and judicial processes, having come to be responsible for more than half a thousand labor processes simultaneously.
During the years that Jose has been part of CMS Grau, he has been directly involved in collective bargaining processes that have sustained various companies with their workers organised in unions; he has also advised in this field to some of the largest and most important companies of Peru.
Jose has been a member of the Advisory Committee of the Labor and Employment Promotion Ministry between the years 1998 and 1999 and once again in 2013.
He has experience advicing companies that have a significant number of workers, with union organizations that promote collective bargaining with their employer and labor demands before the judges. The most common problems and challenges of this type of companies consist on identifying the best way to have a good relationship with their workers and at the same time maintain discipline in the workplace, taking many times to carry out collective bargaining with its workers and the application of disciplinary sanctions. José tries to absolve his clients enquiries in the most economic and reasonable manner, without affecting the work discipline and its workers productivity.
