Dominika Pietkun is an associate in the Corporate and M&A practice at CMS.

Dominika advises clients on commercial and company law. She specialises in conducting due diligence, merger & acquisition transactions, restructurings and ongoing legal advice on corporate issues to private equity houses, as well as to Polish and foreign companies, including companies from the healthcare and retail sector, as well as for clients operating in the renewable energy sector.

Dominika is a participant of the Legal Doctoral Seminars organised by the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where she is preparing her doctoral thesis on European Union law and commercial law. In 2021, Dominika completed a postgraduate course in International Finance organised jointly by the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and the EY Academy of Business, which enabled her to gain knowledge in financial reporting and analysis, financial strategy development, valuations and risk management.

Prior to joining CMS, Dominika worked for over a year and a half at Clifford Chance law firm.

Relevant experience

  • Swedish company Brodvik AB on the disposal of 100% of the shares in SITS sp. z o.o., a Polish furniture producer (with substantial exports and bespoke production for international clients like Ikea) to a Danish Actona Group A/S (the owner of JYSK).
  • InPost, a leading e-commerce enablement platform, and its majority shareholder private equity fund Advent International, on InPost’s listing on the Euronext Amsterdam Stock Exchange - this is one of the largest IPOs to date of a business group from Poland (IPO’s value: EUR 3.2bn), and the first IPO of a Polish company on Euronext Amsterdam.
  • Grupa Integer (InPost) – ongoing legal advice on corporate issues, including carrying out internal reorganisation and restructuring processes.
  • Advent International on its investment in the Integer Group.
  • Hortex sp. z o.o., a leading producer of frozen products and beverages, and its owner Mid Europa Partners, in connection with the acquisition of Jurajska sp. z o.o.
  • Hortex Group – ongoing legal advice on corporate issues, including carrying out an internal reorganisation and restructuring processes.
  • Cinven on its investment in RTB House S.A.
  • Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), Statewide, Motor Trades Association of Australia and Australian Super in relation to the sale of shares in DCT Gdańsk S.A.
  • Ringier Axel Springer Media AG in connection with the announcement of a tender offer for 100% of the shares in MZN Property S.A.
