Kacper Stanosz, an attorney-at-law, is a counsel in the Energy and Infrastructure Practice at CMS Poland.
Legal advisor advising clients in the energy sector across Poland and Central and Southeastern Europe. He provides comprehensive legal support for energy projects at all stages, from development through contracting to commercial operation. He advises on the preparation and implementation of generation assets and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, including EPC and supply contracts, and supports investors throughout the project lifecycle. His work includes drafting and negotiating project documentation, particularly for complex infrastructure and industrial developments.
His transactional experience includes M&A and joint venture projects in the energy sector. He has led numerous M&A processes involving both greenfield and brownfield assets and regularly advises on investment structuring and regulatory risk management. His clients include investment funds and independent power producers (IPPs).
One of his key focus areas is power purchase agreements. He advises both energy producers and corporate offtakers, frequently in projects where PPAs are critical for project financing and bankability. With strong expertise in the Polish market, he also advises on PPA mandates across the CEE and SEE regions. He also advises on on-site generation in the commercial real estate sector, supporting owners and operators of shopping centers, logistics parks, and office buildings with behind-the-meter generation, prosumer models, and private distribution networks.
His sector experience covers both renewable and conventional energy sources, including onshore and offshore wind farms, PV installations, biogas and biomethane plants, energy storage systems, gas-fired generation, and hybrid (co-located) energy models.
