Hamburg/Silicon Valley – Pelican Energy Partners LP (Pelican) has acquired the Welding Services division (WSI) of Avail Infrastructure Solutions.

WSI, with its head office in Suwanee, Georgia (USA), is a leading global provider of specialised welding and life extension services for critical infrastructure.

Pelican is a US-based private equity firm specialising in the energy and industrial sectors. The company invests specifically in high-growth platforms in the energy and industrial services sectors and pursues a partnership-based, operationally driven investment approach. Pelican actively supports its portfolio companies in their strategic development, operational excellence and sustainable value enhancement.

A CMS team led by Dr Eckart Gottschalk provided comprehensive legal advice on the foreign jurisdictions involved, in particular in the context of legal due diligence and post-closing work. The advice involved coordinating the CMS teams in Poland, India and the Netherlands. The US law firm Troutman Pepper Locke provided advice on US law throughout the transaction.
