Karina Zielińska-Piątkowska is an advocate and a senior associate in the Intellectual Property and Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice at CMS Poland.
Karina specialises in intellectual property and unfair competition with a strong focus on the protection of trademarks, industrial designs and patents. She advises clients on IP enforcement, litigation, anti-counterfeiting strategies and copyright matters, including licensing agreements. Her experience also includes preparing contracts for the implementation and maintenance of IT systems. She also advises on data protection and GDPR compliance, including internal policies, contracts, and employment-related matters.
Karina has participated in numerous due diligence projects on intellectual property, IT and personal data protection. Prior to joining CMS, she worked at the Polish Patent Office as well as a leading Warsaw IP firm. She also gained international experience during an internship at IPF International in Spain, managing European projects.
Recognised in Legal 500 (2024) for Intellectual Property, by IP Stars as a Rising Star and IAM Patent (2025) in relation to patent matters, Karina combines deep technical expertise with practical experience in protecting innovation and brand value.
