Katarzyna Szostak is an attorney-at-law and counsel in the Real Estate and Construction Department at CMS.

She specialises in real estate law, including with regard to lease agreements, real estate acquisition and negotiating agreements with general contractors and investment planners. She has often advised on real estate projects with regard to issues concerning warehouse, office, and commercial space, as well as residential buildings. Her experience also includes a number of real estate transactions involving shopping centres.

Before joining CMS, Katarzyna worked as an in-house lawyer for a property investment group and as a lawyer in the real estate department of a law firm.

Relevant experience

  • UL International on consulting and negotiating lease terms for a BTS building in Poland.
  • SEGRO Poland on leasing warehouse and office space in logistics parks in Poland and on other issues related to the day-to-day operation of the parks.
  • A developer company at successive stages of the investment process, from obtaining a building permit to commercialisation, with regard to a project concerning the reconstruction and change of use of a residential building into a boutique office building, with regard to a real estate entered in the register of historic monuments.
  • A developer company at successive stages of the investment process, with respect to an investment concerning the superstructure, reconstruction and extension of a residential building with services on the ground floor, with reference to the real estate entered in the register of historic monuments, including the regulation of the neighbouring relations conditioning the execution of the investment.
  • A developer company at successive stages of an investment process, from obtaining the building permit to concluding sale agreements, with regard to the investment concerning a complex of buildings – a luxury apartment complex.
  • A developer company at successive stages of the investment process, from obtaining the building permit to commercialisation, with regard to the investment involving the construction of a retail park.
  • In the transaction of sale of the office building by the investor – a developer company, to the Bank as a buyer.
  • In the transaction of purchase and lease back of a portfolio of several properties by a development company from the Bank as a seller.
  • A developer company in the conclusion of a transaction for the acquisition of undeveloped real estate for development.
