Marcin Krzemień, PhD, an attorney-at-law, is an associate in the Energy and Infrastructure Practice at CMS Poland, specialising in project finance and sustainable finance.

He advises banks and international financial institutions on financing transactions under Polish and English law, including ESG-related provisions. He has supported over a dozen transactions with the EBRD, particularly in the renewable energy sector, and regularly works on the regulatory aspects of financial deals.

Marcin holds a doctorate in law from the University of Warsaw, where his dissertation focused on sustainable finance under EU law. Marcin conducts ESG training for financial sector clients and advises on implementing EU frameworks such as the Taxonomy and CSRD. He is also active in working groups on sustainable finance at the Ministry of Finance and lectures on EU law at the University of Warsaw.

His background in strategic consulting strengthens his ability to combine legal advice with business insight.

Marcin was recommended in the 2025 edition of The Legal 500 EMEA in the category of Capital Markets. He was also nominated in the 13th edition of the “Rising Stars – Lawyers: Leaders of Tomorrow” ranking by Wolters Kluwer Poland.
