The National Assembly of Angola approved, on 16.06.2016, the Law no. 12/16, of 12nd August, with the purpose of establishing the applicable rules to the creation and organization of the mediation and conciliation procedures, as alternative dispute mechanisms in order to complete the legal framework of ADR in Angola.
Disputes in civil, commercial, employment, family and criminal matters can be submitted to mediation, provided that they regard waivable rights.
