On 1 November 2021, the EU Directive on unfair trading practices in business-to-business agri-food supply chains came into full effect. This now means that certain unfair trading practices in the agricultural sector are forbidden.
Against this backdrop, we invite you to join our two webinar series on 10 and 22 February 2022, during which experienced legal experts from seven jurisdictions in CMS CEE network: Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine, will explore essential regulatory matters and share their insights on how businesses can tackle them. In the coming months, we will also provide similar webinars for other European jurisdictions.
The topics that we will cover in the webinars are:
- Where does CEE stand when it comes to unfair trading practices?
- Which entities are protected and under what conditions?
- How are unfair trading practices in the agricultural and food chain defined in each jurisdiction?
- The activity of the local regulator in enforcement.
- What should be done to comply with the new law and avoid potential sanctions? Practical tips for businesses.
The webinars will be in English and will last one hour each, including a ten-minute Q&A session.
Participation is free of charge.
