Miklós is a senior associate in the commercial practice group at CMS Budapest, where he focuses on the intellectual property, technology, media and communications sectors.

Miklós joined the firm in 2011 as a paralegal and graduated from Eötvös Loránd University in 2014. He qualified as a lawyer in July 2018.

He has experience in various intellectual property issues, including advice on complex copyright and trademark matters, commercial regulatory matters, and drafting, reviewing and negotiating general commercial, software development and licensing agreements.

He has also assisted in preparing various memoranda concerning commercial, IP, IT, media and telecommunications regulatory issues. He has been involved in media and telecommunication law matters, including regulatory questions and contract reviews.

Miklós also has significant experience in managing projects, as well as working on managed legal services projects for various clients.

  • Managing several managed legal services projects involving providing day-to-day commercial law advice to companies outsourcing their legal services to CMS, including one of the largest global oil companies.
  • A multinational soft drink manufacturer and a multinational discount grocery store chain on various commercial law matters.
  • An American multinational technology company focusing on e-commerce and an Irish multinational fast fashion retailer on day-to-day commercial and regulatory matters.
  • 4iG/Corvinus on the acquisition of Vodafone Hungary.
  • Assistance in national and international intellectual property transactions, assisting clients in trademark registrations, transfers, oppositions and other trademark-related issues, drafting intellectual property licence agreements, trademark portfolio management for numerous firms, such as filing national, EU and international trademark applications, renewals, and providing trademark prosecution services.
  • An American multinational conglomerate on drafting a high-value licensing agreement concerning the company’s trade-secret portfolio in an inter-company reorganisation project, whereby a business segment and the related trade secret portfolio was relocated to another entity in the company’s group.
  • A major media company on a copyright dispute in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia with a royalty collecting society on the interpretation of broadcasting, retransmission and cross-border services.
  • A leading air carrier in broadening its range of services for tour operator services in several jurisdictions and in other day-to-day regulatory matters.
