Competition Outlook 2025

With a new European Parliament and a new Commission – and new administrations in the US and many European countries – 2025 will again bring about significant shifts in policy, which will also affect many aspects of competition law.

At the EU level, we predict that the most important changes this year will not be brought about by new legislative acts, but by the practical application and enforcement of the new tools that have been created in recent years and are now coming to life. The regulatory grip continues to tighten. Also at the national level the difficult act of balancing protectionism and security concerns with sustainability, growth and innovation will continue to shape competition law.

In the EU Competition Law Briefing: Outlook 2025 webinar we will provide you with comprehensive and up-to-date information on the developments in EU competition law.

In this webinar, you will gain insights into the key aspects of the following topics:

  • Court of Justice of the European Union
  • Merger control: “Killer acquisitions” - what next in the wake of Illumina/Grail
  • Foreign Subsidies Control
  • Foreign Investment Control (FDI)
  • Digital Competition & Regulation
  • Draft Article 102 TFEU Guidelines on Exclusionary Abuses
  • Private Enforcement
  • National Competition Laws: Update & Outlook

We will discuss the implications these developments will have on your business and provide insights on what you need to know about them in 2025 and beyond.
