Dehal is a Candidate Attorney at CMS South Africa. 

Dehal completed her LLB degree at the University of Pretoria in 2023 and went on to pursue her master’s degree in business law at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, in 2024. She was a member of the Golden Key International Honour society and made the Dean’s merit list in both 2020 and 2021.

In her final year of her LLB degree, she was appointed as the Chairperson of the Women in Law society and was able to grow the society to its largest membership, since its formation. During her LLM, she gained an academic background in Advanced Corporate Law, International Trade Law and Consumer Law.

  • A key development finance institution – assisted in drafting a preference share subscription agreement and the preparation and collation of conditions precedents thereof.
  • A leading financial institution in South Africa – assisted in the review of a tax ruling issued by the South African Revenue Service in relation to a Wakaalah overdraft facility.
  • A global investment firm – in connection to an investment to be made by the client into a global technology company.
  • A key entity in the electricity sector – assisted with drafting a report in connection with business continuity and providing strategic options to the client.
  • Nedbank Limited – assisted on a structured trade facility made available to an international agricultural commodities trader in Singapore (Robust International) to be utilised across various African countries.
  • Exxaro Resources Limited – assisted with the funding scope of work in relation to the disposal of Exxaro FerroAlloys (Pty) Ltd.
  • A leading global medical device company – assisted in preparing bundles and witness statements for the company, in a disciplinary hearing against an employee for misconduct.
  • A leading financial institution in South Africa – in connection with drafting an investigation report in relation to allegations of workplace harassment and bullying against a senior employee.
  • A key development finance institution – assisted in preparing bundles for the employer in a disciplinary hearing against an employee in relation to a breach of their occupational health and safety responsibilities.
